The automotive sales tech start-up 2trde was founded by CEO Johannes Stoffel and CTO Marcus Lankenau in 2017. The mission of the young company is to provide used car remarketers with more reach and profit in B2B remarketing through digital multi-channel auctions. Dealer auctions can be individually conducted on the 2trde platform to ensure better data and more transparency, faster execution as well as wider reach and more profit.
The idea for 2trde came to Johannes Stoffel at his first company, also in the used car industry. He noticed that even large companies still worked with near-endless Excel lists and mail distributors in B2B remarketing. Improving the resulting high error rate and inefficient system led to the birth of 2trde. The Munich-based company already convinced more than 380 customers.

With 2trde, car dealerships receive a software platform on which B2B dealer auctions can be carried out individually. At the same time, used cars can be offered through several external auction houses – through only one system. Dealers profit from reduced capital tie-up, lower administrative effort, and greater reach through multi-channel auctions. Leasing companies and car manufacturers can also benefit from 2trde. Digitalizing the processes around used car auctions not only brings more efficiency but lowers capital tie-up and reduces the downtime of vehicles waiting for auction from an average of 29 to seven days.
